People at the same school or on the same team may wear clothes that look the same. These special clothes are called uniforms. A uniform usually has a shirt or T-shirt. It may also have pants, a skirt, a hat, or a jacket.

Nurses, police officers, and restaurant workers often wear uniforms at work. This helps people know who works there. A uniform may also have a name tag, so people can see the worker’s name.

Sports teams also wear uniforms. The players on one team usually wear the same shirt and colors. This makes it easy to see who is on each team.

Not every school or job has a uniform. Uniforms can look very different, but people in the same school, job, or team often wear clothes that look the same.
